Supply Chain Solutions acquires International Business Unit of England Logistics

Acquisition gives Supply Chain Solutions a global presence and creates seamless approach to supply chain management

 Supply Chain Solutions, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based global transportation, logistics and supply chain management and improvement group, announced that it has acquired the freight forwarding business unit of England Logistics, a top 10 freight brokerage firm and third party logistics (3PL) provider.

The acquisition gives SCS offices in Los Angeles and ShanghaiQingdao and Ningbo China. SCS currently operates offices inMichiganIndianaIllinois and Virginia. "This will give SCS a platform to grow our international business and provide our customers with a complete suite of supply chain services," says Les Brand, CEO of SCS.

For international customers of England Logistics, SCS can provide customs brokerage, international compliance support, supply chain, supply chain technology tools, and a world-class customer service organization.  "We are thrilled with the international partnership with SCS that will result from this deal.
