UPS quit TNT deal; Hi-Tech S&OP Webinar; New CIO Logistics Report; 3 articles to share

The big news this week was UPS pulling out of its purchase of TNT , this leaves TNT in a “no-man’s land” in terms of its future direction and strategy as I am sure it had been confident that the UPS acquisition would go ahead. It will certainly be interesting to see how TNT progresses from here, I’m just not sure that this decision will actually keep the European express market more competitive than if there were just 3 very strong players. I still think something will happen with TNT in the next 12 months.

There is also a bundle of new content for you this week. Please take a look at the new report we have just published on ‘IT strategy for Logistics CIO’s’ ; we have also organized a webinar with Electrolux and NXP Semiconductors on S&OP(for your information, this webinar is completely vendor neutral, it is not sponsored, and just features the views of these 2 great supply chain organizations). There are also some great articles from Lora Cecere, Neal Williamsfrom Priority Freight and Cathy Roberson.

Regards,
