It’s going to be a big year for what were once just e-commerce giants but now have become multi-faceted businesses that are pushing ever deeper into different areas. Amazon, Alibaba, and JD.com are all pushing deeper into the logistics side of their businesses and beyond. JD.com has launched its shipping business, Alibaba is partnering with Office Depot and Amazon is expanding its air cargo and last mile operations as well as using its cloud business to help VW with their supply chain.
