Thomas Nightingale joins GENCO as President of GENCO's Transportation Logistics

GENCO has named Thomas Nightingale president of GENCO's Transportation Logistics, effective August 26, 2013.

In this role, Nightingale will be responsible for growing revenue and expanding GENCO's position as a leading provider of transportation solutions. Today, GENCO manages more than $1.5 billion in freight annually, providing transportation management, consulting, and procurement services. GENCO also provides freight brokerage and inbound logistics management, along with parcel management.

"Tom has the right mix of broad-based transportation and logistics industry experience, combined with commercial acumen, to lead GENCO's Transportation Logistics team and to build upon our market position."

Nightingale joins GENCO with more than 20 years of leadership experience in the transportation and logistics industry and a proven track record of growing revenue and increasing market share. He most recently served as president of Sales and Marketing for ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:MLNK), a $900 million global supply chain management company, where he was instrumental in growing the company's revenue and sales pipeline. Prior to that, Nightingale served as chief marketing officer for Con-way, Inc. (NYSE:CNW) and vice president, Corporate Marketing for Schneider National, Inc. He also has held leadership positions with Clareon, CSX and United Parcel Service.

Tom has a master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University and a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Siena College.
