Kellogg's extends partnership with Norbert Dentressangle

In addition to the recent renewal of its UK warehousing contract, Kellogg’s has appointed Norbert Dentressangle to manage its German warehousing operations.

Recognising the value created through working together in the UK operation, Norbert Dentressangle recently took over the management of Kellogg’s automated high bay warehouse and co-pack operation in Bremen.

Employing around 100 colleagues, on average, the operation will handle around 690,000 pallets and 16.7 million cases per year, serving Kellogg’s retail and wholesale customers throughout Germany. In addition to the warehouse operation, Norbert Dentressangle is also responsible for the planning and management of transport movements into and out of the site.

Norbert Dentressangle’s teams in the UK and Germany will work collaboratively together, providing the customer with a single account management structure and high levels of customer service across all geographies.

This is a significant development for Norbert Dentressangle, representing the extension of the relationship with a blue-chip UK customer into mainland Europe and also marking the entry of Norbert Dentressangle’s logistics business into the German market.

Kellogg’s Supply Chain Director, Germanics, Joerg-Peter Miklis said: “There are clear advantages in working with a single logistics provider across two of our major European markets and Norbert Dentressangle have proven themselves a valuable partner to Kellogg’s in the UK.

“This has been borne out by a seamless transition and implementation process in Bremen and we look forward to reaping the benefits of this strategic partnership.”
