RIP Steven LaVoie; Amazon Supply Chain; Robotization = Obsolete DCs; Best European 3PLs - Voting Open

There was some sad news for all of us at eft to digest this week with the reports that the founder of Arrowstream, Steven LaVoie, had passed away. Only a few months ago Steven was a speaker at the 3PL Summit we host in Chicago, and as he always did, he spent a lot of time during the event speaking and engaging with the young staff that eft had running the event. He will be sorely missed.

In the newsletter this week, eft’s own Haley Garner looks at Amazon’s supply chain. Walther Ploos van Amstel is thinking about Robotization and what it means for DCs, and you can hear ore on what he has to say at the upcoming 12th European 3PL Summit and CSCO Forum in Amsterdam next month (some tickets still available). Lastly I wanted to mention that the shortlist for the European 3PL Awards has been released and voting is now open here

Kind Regards,

Chris Saynor

CEO, eft
